    Page Names

Should I name my pages after my site is complete or as I go along? Also, how complete should they be; just the basic outline or ready for publication? Sorry, I remain slow on the uptake--I've never done this before, and I'm not a techie, so it's tough going.

    Re: Page Names

It's all good Manfred.. That's why we have that big sign at the entry of the forum "VIRGINS WELCOME".. LOL

I learnt to start a page and not leave it til it's fully complete.. so I have a habbit of naming the page even if it wont be published for some time.. that way it's out of your head..

The name of the page you put in the page properties is what you see up the top of the browser.. some pages will use the actual url or website name, others may have a brief description of that particular page.. Check these examples:

    http://google.com
Free daily content for your website - Word of the Day, Article of the Day, This Day in History, Today's Birthday, Today's Holiday, Quote of the Day, Hangman, Word Match Up. Also: Reference lookup box, Javascript double-click code. Easy-to-use wizard generates HTML code for your page

    Hope this helps.

I agree with EZ that the more you do when you are first there - the easier it will be for you. I don't complete each page before moving on, but I do try to fill out all the info - title, meta, etc when I first start on the page. I can always go back at another time and change it - but at least I know when I publish that the basics are there.

Of course, the keyword meta can't be done in it's entiretly until the page is complete - as no keywords should be listed that aren't used on the page - but the basics can always be there.

      Good luck to you.

Thanks Carlos, Beth, for the good advice. This was kind of eating at me, and holding me up from moving on. My basic problem seems to be that I'll do something or forget to do something that will screw the whole endeavor up. Thanks again.
