    Php Auction

I am in the trial and error stage of a php based website.
I tested the auction by placing an item up for sale...I then removed the item via Admin Panel but the item still shows in the category section, for example: Collectibles (1)...indicating that there is 1 item up for auction even though this is the test item that I have removed Collectibles should say (0) since the item is no longer up for auction... why am i getting the false reading...? If you click Collectible (1) it will lead to the No Items For Auction in this category message.

Are you writing this "cart" yourself, or are you using an "off-the-shelf" utility?

(I have very limited php coding experience.....* process vs. programming *)
